There’s been a lot of excitement in the air about Snoop Dogg’s evolution into Snoop Lion. I, for one am not the biggest fan of reggae only because I haven’t given it the proper chance, but I’m sure as hell going to check out Snoop Lion.

We’re coming into the era of the aging Hip Hop artist and while some falter and peter out into memory, Snoop has been bold enough to realize that while he still is Hip Hop, he’s going to reinvent himself (hopefully successfully) into an reggae artist…a serious reggae artist.

I think that’s fucking awesome, considering mainstream Hip Hop is a wasteland.
